👋 Hi, I'm Jessie!

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in beautiful Colorado, offering virtual therapy for children, teens, and young adults ages 6–23. My mission is simple: to help your child feel safe, seen, and empowered—no matter what they’re facing.

With a background in school-based mental health in both Denver and internationally, I bring over five years of specialized experience supporting youth through grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, identity questions, and life transitions.

💛 My Approach

I believe every young person has natural strengths, resiliency, and inner wisdom—and therapy can help bring those to life.

Whether we're working with art, movement, play, or EMDR, I tailor our sessions to your child’s unique needs and interests, using methods such as:

  • EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Somatic therapy

  • Play therapy, Art therapy, Nature-based techniques

  • Breath work, Meditation, and Trauma-informed Yoga

  • Psycho-educational tools (yes—even books, music, and stuffed animals!)

If the client is a child, you as a caregiver will be an essential part of the healing process. We’ll work together to support the whole family system with care and collaboration through an attachment lens.

🧠 Therapy That’s Also Fun (Even Online!)

As a fully virtual therapist, I’ve built a toolbox of creative, engaging strategies that make virtual therapy not just possible—but effective and enjoyable. Whether it’s using virtual games, expressive online art tools, or sensory techniques, sessions are designed to help your child open up, express themselves, and grow. Some of the biggest advantages to virtual therapy includes convenience and that I get to join you in your home environment, where your child already feels comfortable and has access to their daily tools for regulation, such as their favorite stuffy!

🌈 Who I Work With

I support clients navigating:

  • Trauma and grief

  • Anxiety and depression

  • School and peer challenges

  • LGBTQIA+ support

  • Self-esteem and confidence

  • Life transitions and emotional regulation

🌿 A Little About Me

I started helping people as an EMT in 2013 and quickly discovered my superpower: being a calm, grounded presence in even the hardest moments. Since then, I’ve worked in women’s shelters, summer camps, buddy programs, and school-based nonprofits, including through the Peace Corps creating youth development programs internationally.

Outside of therapy, you’ll find me painting, hiking, fishing, woodworking, or camping in the Colorado mountains. I’m also a certified children’s and trauma-informed yoga instructor and have taught meditation and breathwork since 2019—tools I love sharing with clients who are curious.

🤝 Let’s Begin

Whether you or your child is navigating something big or just needs someone to talk to, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I’m here to walk alongside your family with care, creativity, and respect.

I look forward to meeting you. 💬

Whether you have experienced trauma, have changes happening in your family, are exploring your identity, experience social anxiety, want to build your confidence and explore your strengths, feel off, depressed, or anxious, or just want to learn about mental health and help yourself feel better overall, this may be the space for you! I use a variety of therapy interventions to help aid healing and foster confidence & empowerment alongside youth.

EMDR Therapy

EMDR is a structured psychotherapy approach that uses bilateral stimulation (like eye movements) to help individuals process traumatic memories and reduce associated distress, aiming to change how the brain stores these memories. This process facilitates the resolution of trauma-related symptoms and promotes healing and is one of the most effective trauma processing methods. Jessie has completed both levels 1 and 2 of EMDR training and can work with all ages (yes! even kids!) in healing trauma memories and reducing the impact of past trauma through EMDR

Other Interventions…

Some other interventions I love to use include art therapy, experiential therapy (using your environment), CBT, DBT, narrative therapy (let’s change your story!), play therapy, bibliotherapy, strengths-based approach, relational approach (I want you to feel SEEN and UNDERSTOOD), IFS (exploring and learning to love all parts of yourself), somatic body awareness (I am a certified yoga instructor and also have additional certifications in child and trauma informed yoga that can help inform body-aware practices which are especially helpful for anxiety and dissociation)

What’s the process?

Taking the first step toward healing is a powerful decision. Therapy is about self-discovery, resilience, and real change. Here’s what you can expect when working with me:

  1. Schedule A Phone Consultation

  2. Brief 15-minute introductory call

  3. Get Setup on Your Online Portal

  4. Sign necessary documentation

  5. First Appointment: Intake Process (if the client is a child, their adult will be involved with the intake)

  6. Discuss your primary goals

  7. Ongoing Psychotherapy

Services

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is a confidential and collaborative process where a trained therapist works one-on-one with a client to address personal challenges, improve emotional well-being, and develop coping skills in a safe and supportive environment. For children, I welcome parent conversations either at the start or end of the session. As my client, you also receive additional services such as (with a signed release of information) connecting with teachers, schools, psychiatrists, or caregivers outside of the home as needed.

Can you participate in custody decisions?

No, I do not participate in court proceedings, including child custody or family law matters. My primary focus is supporting the emotional well-being of children and adolescents. Your Wellness, Your Pace

At this time, I am only offering virtual sessions through Telehealth for clients currently in Colorado or Montana. This is a great way to remove barriers to receiving care, providing flexibility and accessibility so we can meet at a time and place that works best for you!
